About this place
Interactive science exhibits, IMAX cinema, planetarium, and live shows suitable for kids and adults.
This striking titanium-clad building on the Clyde houses hundreds of hands-on science exhibits across several floors, alongside Scotland's only IMAX cinema and a digital planetarium showing regular shows about space. Live science shows run through the day, often involving genuine explosions, fire or dramatic chemical reactions, which tend to be the highlight for most children regardless of age. The neighbouring Glasgow Tower, when open, offers the tallest freestanding viewing platform in Scotland, though it operates on a more limited schedule than the main centre. There's an admission charge, with the IMAX and tower usually ticketed separately, and the whole site is fully accessible.
