Rain or Shine is a small, independently run guide to days out with children in Scotland. This page explains what information the site collects, how Google AdSense and its partners use cookies to show ads here, and what choices you have.

Information you give us

The Suggest a place form collects details about the place you are suggesting, plus your email address only if you would like a reply. The contact form on this page collects your name, email address and message so we can respond to you. Neither form collects anything beyond what you type into it, and submissions are only used to answer you or, for place suggestions, to research and add the place to the map.

Form submissions are handled by Netlify, the company that hosts this site. See Netlify’s privacy policy for how they process that data on our behalf.

Advertising and cookies

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure how those ads perform. We do not control these cookies directly and do not see the data they collect about you individually.

Analytics

We do not currently run our own analytics or tracking software on this site. The only third-party data collection here is the AdSense advertising described above.

Children’s privacy

Rain or Shine is written for parents and carers planning days out, not for children to use directly, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this page from time to time as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
