About this place
Community-run woodland in Glasgow's West End with natural play, a pond and a busy programme of free events.
Saved from development by a determined local campaign in 2016, this small patch of woodland in Glasgow's West End is now run by the community as a genuinely free, unstructured natural play space, with logs, a pond and open grass rather than conventional play equipment. A busy programme of free events runs through the year, from forest school sessions to seasonal celebrations, giving regular visitors plenty of reasons to return. Its central location makes it an easy, low-key stop for West End families rather than a destination requiring a special trip. It's free to visit, with on-street parking nearby and paths that are grassy and uneven rather than buggy-smooth.
