A map for the question every parent asks on a Saturday morning

Software engineer, map person, parent. Rain or Shine is built in Scotland, one place at a time.
I am a software engineer, and I have spent my working life with maps. It took me an embarrassingly long time to point one at my own weekends.
The problem was always the same. A free morning, a whole day, a week away somewhere we did not know — and I would lose the best part of it to a dozen open tabs, none of them answering the only two questions I had. What is close by? And will it actually work with the kids in tow?
So I built the thing I kept wishing existed. Every place sits on one map, with the plain facts beside it: how far away it is, what it costs, whether it holds up in the rain. No scrolling, no guesswork. You can see your options in the time it takes to find everyone’s shoes.
I want this to be the site mums and dads come back to — opened with a coffee on a Saturday morning, and again from a rainy holiday cottage.
That is the whole ambition: a well loved, well used map that hands you back your morning. If you know a place that deserves to be on it, I would genuinely love to hear about it.
