Free art gallery within the University of Glasgow, with works by Whistler and the Mackintosh House recreation.

Part of Scotland's oldest public museum, this gallery holds the largest collection of works by the American-born artist James McNeill Whistler outside the United States, alongside Scottish Colourist paintings and changing exhibitions. A recreated interior of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's own home, the Mackintosh House, sits within the gallery and gives a rare, complete sense of his interior design work, though this section carries a small separate charge. The main galleries are more geared towards older children with an interest in art than very young visitors. Its university setting makes for an attractive stop combined with a wander around the campus. Entry to the main galleries is free, with a charge for the Mackintosh House, and the building is accessible.
