About this place

Pebble and sand beach with views across Brodick Bay and Goatfell.

This pebble and sand beach curves around Brodick Bay, with Goatfell rising directly behind the town giving the beach one of the most dramatic mountain backdrops of any in Scotland. Its position right by the ferry terminal and main village makes it one of the easiest beaches on Arran to reach without a car, and cafes and shops are close at hand. It suits rockpooling and beachcombing as much as sunbathing, given the mixed pebble and sand surface. It's free to visit, with parking nearby and toilets in the village.
