This long-distance walking route circles the entire coastline of Arran, passing beaches, cliffs and small villages along its length, though families need only tackle a short section rather than the full multi-day route to enjoy it. Different stretches suit different abilities, from flat, easy coastal paths near villages to more rugged sections further from the road. Wildlife along the way can include seals, otters and a wide range of seabirds, depending on the section walked. It's free to use, with access points at various villages around the island, and terrain varies considerably by section.
