About this place

Hands-on exhibits, science shows, and workshops for families and school groups.

Known as Satrosphere, Aberdeen's science centre was one of the first hands-on science centres to open in Scotland, and it's built entirely around interactive exhibits that visitors are encouraged to touch, test and experiment with rather than simply look at. Regular science shows and workshops run through the day, often tied to a rotating theme, giving repeat visitors something new each time. It suits a range of ages reasonably well, from curious toddlers to older children working through more involved exhibits. There's an admission charge, a cafe on site, and the whole centre is indoors and accessible, making it a solid wet-weather choice.
