This well-known circular route around the Isle of Cumbrae covers roughly ten miles of largely flat, quiet coastal road, making it one of the more manageable full-island cycling routes in Scotland and a popular choice for families cycling together. Sea views accompany much of the ride, and the small scale of the island means the route can comfortably be completed within a couple of hours at a relaxed pace. Bike hire is readily available near the harbour in Millport for visitors without their own. It's free to cycle, with charges only for any bike hire, and the flat terrain suits a range of ages and abilities.
