About this place
Popular sandy and pebble beach along Millport promenade with views across the Firth of Clyde.
This popular beach runs along Millport's promenade on the Isle of Cumbrae, offering a mix of sand and pebble along with views back across the Firth of Clyde towards the mainland. Its position right in the town means cafes, shops and toilets are all close at hand, making it an easy, low-effort beach visit compared with some of Arran's more remote stretches of sand. The gentle bay and relatively sheltered water make it popular for paddling. It's free to visit, with parking available nearby.
