This family-friendly beach on Arran's east coast looks out towards Holy Isle, whose distinctive hump-backed silhouette dominates the view across the bay, and a scattering of cafes in the village behind the beach makes it easy to combine a visit with lunch or an ice cream. It's a good base for exploring several of Arran's nearby attractions, including the Giant's Graves and Glenashdale Falls walks, both starting close to the village.
