About this place
Small motorsport museum in Kirkcudbright celebrating the career of Formula 1 driver David Coulthard.
This small museum in Kirkcudbright, David Coulthard's home town, traces the Scottish driver's motorsport career from his early karting days through to 13 Formula 1 race wins and years as a podium regular for Williams, McLaren and Red Bull. Race suits, trophies and genuine memorabilia from his career fill the compact space, giving motorsport-minded children a much more personal, local angle on Formula 1 than a typical museum. Its modest scale means a visit takes an hour or so rather than a full day, well suited to combining with the rest of Kirkcudbright's harbour and galleries. There's an admission charge, and the museum is fully indoors and accessible.
