This family-run activity centre on the shore of Loch Insh offers canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing for a range of ages and abilities, with instructors on hand and equipment sized for children as well as adults. A sandy stretch of beach beside the water is a pleasant spot to base a day even without going out on the loch itself, and the surrounding Insh Marshes are an important wetland reserve worth a look if time allows. Activities are charged separately and often need booking in advance, particularly in summer, but there's no charge just to visit the beach and grounds, with parking, toilets and a cafe on site.
