The lochans are a popular, if chilly, spot for wild swimming in summer, and a viewpoint along the trail gives a good outlook over the wider Cairngorms landscape. Their relative quiet compared with busier spots like Loch Morlich gives them a more peaceful, off-the-beaten-track feel. It's free to visit, with parking at the trailhead, and the main circular path is manageable for most families, though the ground can be uneven in places.
