This large facility stores the majority of Glasgow Museums' collections not currently on display elsewhere in the city, and behind-the-scenes tours give visitors a rare look at objects, artworks and specimens usually kept out of public view, from stuffed animals to historic vehicles. It's a genuinely different kind of museum visit, more like a working warehouse than a polished gallery, which some families find more engaging precisely because of that rawer, less curated feel.
