Set on a wooded hillside above Pitlochry Festival Theatre, this garden tells the story of Scotland's plant hunters - figures like David Douglas and George Forrest, who travelled the world in the 18th and 19th centuries bringing back specimens that transformed British gardens. Paths wind between towering conifers and rhododendrons, with information panels explaining where particular plants originated and the often perilous journeys involved in collecting them. It makes a genuinely interesting stop for older children curious about plants or exploration, though it's less of a draw for very young ones. There's a small admission charge, and the sloped, wooded paths make parts of it unsuitable for buggies.
