About this place
Large park with wildlife centre, play park, woodland walks and open space.
One of Dundee's largest green spaces, Camperdown combines a wildlife centre, an adventure playground and extensive woodland walks across a genuinely large estate, making it easy to fill most of a day without repeating the same path twice. The wildlife centre focuses on native and once-native Scottish species, giving it a slightly different feel from a conventional zoo. Camperdown House, an 18th-century mansion at the heart of the estate, adds a further point of interest, even though it isn't generally open inside. The park itself is free to enter, with charges for the wildlife centre, and parking available at several points around the grounds.
