Right beside the wide sands and dunes of Balmedie Beach, this coastal playground gives children swings, slides and climbing equipment as either the main event or a natural add-on to a beach visit. The combination of proper play equipment and direct beach access makes it easy to fill a whole afternoon here, moving between the two as energy and interest dictate. Balmedie Country Park behind the beach adds further dune walks if a longer outing is wanted. It's free to visit, with parking available at the country park, though facilities right at the play park itself are limited.
