Woodland walk beside the River Braan to a folly overlooking a spectacular waterfall.

Managed by the National Trust for Scotland, this woodland walk beside the River Braan leads to Ossian's Hall, a folly built in 1757 to frame a dramatic view of the Black Linn Falls crashing through the gorge below. The surrounding forest includes some of the tallest trees in Britain, among them towering Douglas firs first introduced to the area not long after the folly was built. The main path is well-surfaced and largely flat, making it manageable for buggies, though it does involve a bridge crossing with steps at one point. It's free to visit, with parking at the entrance and no other facilities on site.
