This quieter sandy beach lies just north of Troon, backed by dunes that give it a slightly wilder, less developed feel than some of the busier beaches further along the coast. It's popular with local families precisely because it tends to be less crowded, even during peak summer periods, while still offering the same wide sands and sea views. There are limited facilities directly on the beach, so it's worth planning ahead before setting out. It's free to visit, with parking available nearby.
