This large regional park combines extensive woodland walks with the ruins of two castles, Mugdock and Craigend, giving families a genuine mix of nature and history across a substantial site near Milngavie. A visitor centre and several playparks round out the facilities, and deer are sometimes spotted in the quieter, more wooded parts of the estate. Its scale means there's enough here to fill a full day without repeating the same paths. It's free to visit, with parking on site and most main paths suitable for buggies.
