Family days out in Moray And Speyside
Whisky country on paper, but also dolphins, castles and a sweep of Moray Firth coastline.
Speyside is known for its distilleries, but the same glens hold castle ruins, forest parks and osprey centres that work just as well for a family day as they do for the whisky trail.
Along the coast, the Moray Firth is one of the best places in Britain to spot dolphins from the shore — Chanonry Point and the harbour towns nearby are worth timing around the tide.
