Family days out in Loch Lomond And Trossachs

Scotland's first national park, and the closest big lochs and hills to Glasgow.

Loch Lomond is the loch most families see first, and it earns that — boat trips, lochside parks and easy waterfront paths that work for buggies as well as older kids on bikes.

The Trossachs behind it are hillier and quieter, good for a slower day with a picnic and a shorter walk, and close enough to Glasgow and Stirling that it doesn't need to eat the whole day in driving.
