Gardens in Scotland
Botanic gardens and walled gardens, calmer than a full country park.
Gardens are the quietest category here — no playground, usually no café queue, just planted grounds to wander that work well for a shorter or slower visit.
A handful, like the botanic gardens, have glasshouses and family trails that turn a walk into more of a proper outing, particularly useful on a wet day since a lot of the planted areas are under cover.
