About this place
Interactive attraction exploring the mystery of the Loch Ness Monster.
Based in Drumnadrochit on the shore of Loch Ness, this interactive attraction takes a genuinely investigative approach to the monster legend, walking visitors through the real evidence, sightings and scientific expeditions - including sonar surveys and the infamous 1934 'Surgeon's Photograph', later admitted to be a hoax - that have shaped the story over the decades. Rather than simply playing up the myth, it explains how each piece of supposed evidence has held up, or fallen apart, under scrutiny, which tends to appeal to curious older children as much as younger ones drawn in by the mystery itself. There's an admission charge, and the whole exhibition is indoors and accessible.
