About this place
Long sandy beach and dunes at the mouth of Findhorn Bay.
The beach here sits at the mouth of Findhorn Bay, with wide sands and dunes looking out over the Moray Firth, one of the best places in Scotland to spot dolphins from the shore if the timing and tides cooperate. The village of Findhorn itself, along with the well-known Findhorn Ecovillage community just along the coast, adds some extra character to a visit beyond the beach alone. It's a good spot for a proper walk as well as sandcastle-building, with plenty of space even in busier periods. Free to visit, with parking and basic facilities in the village nearby.
