About this place
Aquarium in North Queensferry featuring Scotland's longest underwater viewing tunnel.
Built beneath the road approach to the Forth Bridge at North Queensferry, Deep Sea World's main draw is Scotland's longest underwater viewing tunnel, where sand tiger sharks and rays glide overhead as visitors walk through on a moving walkway. Beyond the tunnel, tanks of piranhas, seahorses and other species fill out the rest of the visit, and talks and feeding sessions run through the day. It's a popular school trip destination, so it can get busy with groups on weekday mornings during term time - weekends and school holidays tend to be more of a mixed family crowd. There's an admission charge, and the whole site is indoors and fully accessible, making it a solid rainy-day choice.
