This large Cumbernauld country park features enclosures for native Scottish wildlife, including species that once roamed the country more widely, alongside an extensive network of waymarked woodland trails suited to a proper family walk. Seeing animals like wildcats or deer in something closer to their natural habitat, rather than a conventional zoo enclosure, gives the visit a slightly different, more naturalistic feel. Its scale means there's enough here to fill a good half-day. It's free to visit, with parking on site and most main paths suitable for buggies.
