About this place
Wildlife centre at Spey Bay with views over one of Europe's best dolphin-watching spots.
Run by the charity Whale and Dolphin Conservation, this centre at Spey Bay sits at one of the best land-based dolphin-watching spots in Europe, where the Moray Firth's resident bottlenose dolphins - among the largest of their kind in the world - are regularly seen from the shore, particularly around high tide. The centre itself occupies a converted ice house, once used to store ice for the local salmon fishing industry, and now houses displays on marine wildlife alongside a cafe with views over the water. Ranger-led activities run through the summer for families wanting a closer introduction to the wildlife. Entry is free, with a donation welcomed, and the building is fully accessible.
