Large public park featuring the iconic Kelpies horse-head sculptures, playgrounds, cycling routes and lagoon walks.

The Kelpies, two towering 30-metre steel horse-head sculptures by artist Andy Scott, dominate the skyline of the Helix park near Falkirk and have become one of Scotland's most recognisable modern landmarks since they were completed in 2014, inspired by the mythical water horses of Scottish folklore and the region's history of working horses on the canals. The wider park around them offers playgrounds, cycling routes and a lagoon walk, giving families plenty to do beyond simply admiring the sculptures. Guided tours inside one of the Kelpies' heads run on a separate, bookable basis. It's free to visit the park and see the Kelpies from outside, with a charge for guided tours, and the paths are fully accessible.
