Aden Country Park near Mintlaw combines woodland and parkland walks with the North East Scotland Agricultural Heritage Centre on site, which uses restored farm buildings to tell the story of farming life in the area through the 19th and 20th centuries. An adventure playground gives children a proper outdoor play stop alongside the walking trails, and the scale of the estate means there's enough here for a full half-day visit. The heritage centre has its own opening hours and sometimes a separate charge, so it's worth checking before planning around it specifically. The park itself is free, with parking and toilets on site.
