About this place
Popular sandy beach reached over a footbridge across the River Lossie.
Reached by crossing a footbridge over the River Lossie, East Beach has a real sense of arrival that younger children tend to enjoy in itself, before the golden sands even come into view. RAF Lossiemouth sits close by, so low-flying jets are a fairly regular sight and sound overhead, an added novelty for plane-mad kids. The beach is long and typically quieter than more central options along the coast, backed by dunes rather than a built-up promenade. It's free to visit, with parking in the town and a walk of a few minutes to reach the bridge and beach beyond.
