About this place
Spectacular 46-metre waterfall near Glen Affric, viewed from a dramatic horseshoe-shaped platform.
Hidden within forest near Glen Affric, Plodda Falls drops around 46 metres in a single fall, and a horseshoe-shaped viewing platform, suspended out over the gorge, gives a genuinely dramatic vantage point looking straight down into the churning pool below. The walk to reach it, through tall Douglas fir plantation, is manageable for most families, though the platform's height isn't for anyone particularly nervous of drops. Its relatively remote location, well off the main tourist routes near Glen Affric, means it stays quieter than many of the Highlands' better-known waterfalls. It's free to visit, with parking at the trailhead, and the path is not suitable for buggies.
