About this place

Scotland's oldest miniature railway, running along the seafront at Arbroath.

Running along the West Links at Arbroath since 1935, Kerr's Miniature Railway is recognised as Scotland's oldest miniature railway still in operation, and it retains a genuinely old-fashioned, family-run feel rather than a polished modern attraction. The short seafront route gives young children the thrill of a real train ride at a manageable scale, with views out towards the beach along the way. It runs seasonally rather than year-round, so it's worth checking whether it's operating before a visit. There's a charge for tickets, parking is available nearby along the seafront, and the platform is level and easy to access.
