About this place
Beautiful beach with views of Ailsa Craig and nearby seals often seen on the rocks.
This beach on Arran's south coast looks out towards Ailsa Craig, the distinctive granite island rising from the sea in the distance, and seals are frequently seen hauled out on the rocks just offshore, giving families a good chance of wildlife spotting without needing binoculars. The beach itself offers a mix of sand and rock, suited to both traditional beach play and rockpooling. A hotel and a couple of other facilities sit nearby for a break. It's free to visit, with parking available close to the beach.
